4. Legal bases (where applicable)
Depending on your location and applicable law in Republic of Cameroon, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the Service you signed up for); legitimate interests (security, analytics, product improvement balanced against your rights); consent (non-essential cookies, optional marketing); and legal obligation (tax, regulatory, or court orders).
You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal, except where we must retain data for legal reasons.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then for a reasonable period afterward for backups, disputes, and legal compliance.
Learning records and exam history may be kept to support transcripts, certificates, or re-enrollment unless you request deletion and we are not required to retain them.
You may request deletion of your account subject to Section 9; some logs may be anonymized rather than deleted where deletion would impair security or legal records.
7. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and monitoring.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please use a strong, unique password and notify us promptly at privacy@concoura.online if you suspect unauthorized access.
9. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information, and to receive a portable copy of data you provided.
You can update profile information in your account settings. To exercise other rights, email privacy@concoura.online with sufficient detail to verify your identity. We respond within a reasonable timeframe.
You may decline non-essential cookies via our cookie banner or browser settings; essential cookies remain required for login and security.
10. Children and students
The Service is designed for students preparing for concours examinations, including users who may be minors. If you are under 18, you should use the Service with permission from a parent or guardian.
If we learn we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent where required by law, we will take steps to delete it. Parents or guardians may contact us at privacy@concoura.online.
11. International processing
Our servers and service providers may be located in Cameroon or other countries. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to jurisdictions with different data protection laws, always subject to appropriate safeguards in our agreements with processors.
12. Third-party links
The Service may link to external sites (for example partner institutions). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their policies before providing personal information.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal, technical, or business changes. Continued use after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. For material changes, we may also notify you by email or in-app notice.
